Eating healthy on a budget is easier then some may think.  There are many grocery stores now offering a larger variety of fresh real foods and often times offer weekly deals when purchasing fresh produce.  Planning meals ahead of time can help keep you on a budget, purchasing fresh food from farmer's markets can also help cut down on costs.  Another tip for eating healthy on a budget is to select prewashed food in bulk (i.e. Kale can often be found triple washed and in large bulk bags or containers, this cuts down on cost and time).

When it comes to buying food, it is important to choose quality over quantity.  Food is the greatest form of medicine for the body.  Sometimes we have to stop and think, why are some foods so cheap?  Cheap convenience foods often are not really food....(they are manufactured in a factory using dangerous additives, fillers, and chemicals)...
